The type of care you receive after a surgical procedure, depends on the surgery you had, it's quality, and your health condition after it. Having someone who can help you and care for you on such situations is very important to have a fast recovery, and in some cases mandatory.
Our Registered Nurses are well trained to handle post-operative conditions, and will take care of what you need during your hospital stay or while at home for recovery.
They will make sure you have the therapy you need, and will educate you on what side effects to expect from surgery, or what complications to watch out for. They will be monitoring for allergic reactions, and will make sure any device you use is working properly. If you need assistance to walk or any other thing they will provide it for you.
Be prepared for every scenario possible after surgery
It is very important to be prepared ahead of time when it comes to surgery. Many complications may occur and it all depends on the type of surgery you are going to have.
Our nurses will be asking and answering a list of questions before and after surgery respectively, that will help you know what situation you are in and what measures they will be taking to make sure you are out of danger and in good shape to recovery. This list will be based on your condition and necessities so it may grow accordingly:
What is your condition?
What is the surgery you are having?
What kind of allergies you have?
Would you need any supplies or medication before surgery?
How long will you need to stay in the hospital?
What side effects may appear from anesthesia and the medical procedure?
What complications should you watch out for?
After surgery, what medication or supplies are going to be needed?
Are you going to receive physical therapy afterwards?
What things should you avoid to support your recovery?
